Celebrating him!

Funny, Clever and Brave...
Irreverent, Naughty and Rather Kind...
Loved and missed
Laughter is good. We all know that.

Knowing how to make people laugh and forget sweating the tedious small stuff for a little while is better yet!
It brings a kind of relaxation to the face -
and spirit!
Rob could do that...

Thank you Kate for the lovely thoughts. I wonder how you are coping these days? I feel you are still grieving deeply and hope that as time passes, you will find a way forward. We always carry the people we love inside ourselves, all our lives, and coming to terms with their loss is a huge challenge, but I am trying to be glad of all the good things in my life, the people who help to fill it. Much love x

Marianne -
I think very slowly these days, so forgive me if you will. This is my news!

I am most fortunate these days in many ways: I am encompassed by a large loving (and humorous!) family - and they need me. That is a great blessing, it guides me :-)
I have made a gardening business from scratch and work for many really nice people doing work I love. We have our own home. I have an amicable divorce - the children's father is as key and instrumental in their lives as he ever was - and I am so thankful that he is very happily settled in another now long-standing partnership.

Yet, I miss Rob - and I miss the person I became when we were together - more than I can bear sometimes. The sense of loss hasn't changed since the day he died. So, I live on other levels and I guess that is a way forward, a way on. That's it really :-)

Much love sent back, thinking of you too X

Do you watch the Danish "The Killing"?

Saturday programme - "Grief is love that has become homeless " - was much taken with the phrase. Thought of you - so came here (X)

Yes that is good. *Hug*

It is very nice to see your fishes again on Blogger. Lady T. Reminds me of the old days :-)

I don't watch The Killing no, but have heard it's excellent. (Apparently viewing it becomes a kind of crash course in understanding Danish?)

(Thanks to Judith's reading therapy I'm entirely hooked on Lee Child's Jack Reacher series though - very scary but excellent!)

:-) X

I have only just picked up your reply and so good to hear that much in your life is working well for you and you are being so positive, while at the same time coping with your bereavement.
Life seems to be increasingly full of loss as time goes by, but it is important to hold onto the good people and things we both have in our lives.
Merry Christmas, Merry x

(The bigger picture - I'm always looking at the bigger picture.)

Merry Christmas to you too X
